Day Eleven - A Little Rain.... +

Inspired Thoughts: When we get saved because Jesus so graciuosly gave his life freely on Calvary's Cross over 2000 years ago for us, he remembers our past no more. It's like we never lived it as far as God is concerned. But many times we can't get out of our past, and with that it only causes us to stay down. We will never grow in God like that. But with Holy Ghost power we can (fast & pray), and with God leading the way we can remove every mountain in our life = "even our sinful past".... +
....We simply can't give up - We Have To Keep Running 4/God and moving forward in this Heavenly race if we ever expect to cross the finish line someday when we will meet the one who died for us = "King-Jesus" = God's Only Begotten Son, that was begottne by the Holy Ghost. Take these 3, (The Blessed Trinity), with you wherever you go and you will be a winner always.

....Early Morning: I read Proverbs 1 & Prayed for 15-minutes. I had planned to run right after that, but my family got up and we went out for breakfast.
....2-hours 4/God: I read (Luke 7 - 9) & then Prayed for just over 30-minutes. After that I went over my message = "The Valley Of Regrets".... + I hope to preach this message very soon, and I truly "Thank-God" for the call he placed in the hearts of me and my family to preach and sing the gospel of Jesus Christ which is the divine word of God = The Bible.... +

Day Eleven - a Little Rain.... +
....It rained a little today. It wasn't but a sprinkle, but it sure felt good due to the humidity that was in the air @ 72-degrees. (I almost wish it had come a good shower). I haven't ran in the rain but a few times in the past 3 or 4 years = Man! What's up with that? Because I used to every time it rained back in the day.... +
....Home/Town Run - 3-miles in (27.06.12). It was probably a few tenths under 3, but I'm going to log 3 miles on my shoes = "old" Asics SD Turbo/310m's.
....I felt fine today, but I only wanted a few miles, and so far I'm doing fine. God has really blessed me in the 11-days I've been running, and as far as I'm concerned he will continue to do that as long as I put him 1st above everything else in my life. After that everything else must be put before my running such as family, friends, work, etc.
....Still I will get my miles in and keep on running. TODAY IS THE START OF A BRAND NEW = "JIMMY/JTORNADOMAN/JACOBS" = "CHRISTIAN/DAD/HUSBAND", but only with the help of (GOD, JESUS, & the HOLY GHOST).... +

....(God gave my wife Roxie) the song above one day that talks about (Faith). When we got saved we had to "Take That Leap Of Faith", and believe that Jesus died on Calvary's Cross for the remission of our sins. We also had to believe that he could save us, and (Jesus did just that so wonderfuly in God's sweet Amazing Grace).
....Since we've been saved every time we need something from God, such as healing to our bodies, an over due bill paid, a loved one saved, we have to once again "ake That Leap Of Faith", and simply believe in what we are asking God to do. When we do that God will always meet our needs.

....I only ran 1-mile in (9.34.85). From our home to Magic Mart department store, around back and back home. Very good course.
Weather: Partly Cloudy - Hiot/humid - @ 80 degress.
....I felt better today. I only want to run enough to keep my streak alive, and give my ole "Back" another week to heal some more. God is taking care of me, and I trust in the end with God, Jesus, & the Holy Ghost, I will be running strong again in the near future. That with the support of my family Roxie & Andrew, and family & friends everyhere including on line.

Inspired "Running" Thoughts: I'm trying to get used to wearing "Sunglasses". It really helps my eyes when the sun is bright. It didn't used to bother me that much, but it seems to keep me at a real squint when I run. It's almost like running with only 1-eye, lol. ( :
....But I do not like to wear them, just what can I do???? Maybe sooner or later I will get used to them. They look simular to the ones in the picture above, but they are (red) which is my favorite color. Cheap too, which is also a favorite of mine.

Sunday/19 = My ole "back" was still aching this morning so I opted to put my start off another day. (So I missed my overall challenge, but I will try to run 6-days if God so graciously allows me to start running tomorrow..... +

Monday/20 = Home/Creeper Trail. 5.2-miles in (50.24.60). I felt alot better this morning and with God's help I was able to log 5.2m's today. I truely "Thank-God" for that.
WEATHER: Cloudy/Warm & alot of Rain. Soaked for the first time in a very long time, but I will have to say the cool rain felt great.
Gear: My trusty "Timex" my Dad got me for Christmas. "Newer" Asics SD Turbo.

....The above picture is the Trek 820 Hardtail Mountain Bike.... + Every time I'm on the trail running and I see many different (People) of all shapes, forms, and fashions riding their "Mountain-Bikes" I always run by and think "Hey, I want one of those".... ( :
....I found this while I was browsing the net last night and it is only $320 dollars. But still I have my work cut out for me. So there you go I certainly have something to wrk for now. A "New" (Mountain Bike) so I can cross train a couple of days a week when the weather is nice right after I run 1-mile to keep my goal streak alive.
....It may take awhile to save up, but like my "Mommaw & Mom" has always told me = (If it's worth having at all it's worth waiting on). But for now I'll be like a little boy again waiting on a new toy. Do I have enough saved, do I, do I, lol. ( :

The Healer.... +

In God's Word Today: Isaiah 53:5.... +
....5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Inspired Thoughts: The world has changed alot since the days of old when Jesus actually walked this earth preaching his Father's word, and later gave his life freely on Calvary's Cross that stood one day on Golgotha's hill in a place just outside of Jerusalem. But God or Jesus has never changed at all.
....Long before Jesus was born, and even his disciples that walked with him such as Peter, James, & John truely trusted in God & Jesus that they could preform miracles. One of those miracles was healing as Jesus went about he healed the sick many times. People that were could walk again, blinded eyes were open, and many that were already dead came back to life when Jesus so graciously spoke their name. It is also written in God's word that Jesus at times even healed people that were demon possessed, (As he cast them out and told them to go on their way).
....So what has changed today. We Have! We just don't believe in miracles like they used to in days of old. Sometimes when we pray we already have the notion that we will not be healed. But how many of us "Christians" today spend alot of tie with (God in prayer & fasting).

God's word says in Matthew 17:20 & 21.... +
.... 20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

....So with Matthew 17 verse 20 we know that "Mountains" can be moved in our life if we only have a little bit of faith. My Mom & Dad's Pastor once gave out "mustard seeds" to everyone there right after she preached on "Faith". She sad this is all the faith you need to see a miracle in your life. That is true, but it won't happen without Matthew 17 verse 21 that says in order to have "Mountain Moving Faith" we must be willing to (Pray to God & Fast). For James 2:17 says Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. That simply means if we never "Pray to God or Fast" we can pray, but we won't have enough Godly faith in us to move the mountain that we are trying to move = No matter how small the mountin may be.

So looking at what I just said it's time to start (Praying to God & Fasting). For a very long time by ole "back" has been acting up. I think it's high time to get close to God, and let God move this out of my life. If God can raise the dead he can heal my back I'm sure of that. But I need to pray to God, fast, and in time lat God, Jesus & the Holy Ghost take all my doubts away. If I will do my part, an then pray (God will heal my aching back), I'm sure of that.

The Healer.... +
....Beginning next week I plan to start running again = (Seriously). But before I can get serious with my running God says I must first get serious with him. God must be first above everything else in my life, I need to take care of my family = "Roxie & Andrew" next including our 4/Cats, and I need to take care of my "Family & Friends" everywhere after that. Then I can be free to run with the wind.
....God has blessed me so many times before and 2008-2009 has been no different than before. I actually ran a 20-miler back in February, and got my 10-mile time down to 1:15 which just happens to (7.30) mile pace. Something I haven't done since 2003 when my buddy Nick and I were really running serious.
....This time is no different and with a few months I know I can get back in some kind of shape, and later be running fast again. But first things first. I have to "Let Go And Let God" take care of every negative situation in my life, and he will if only I will let him.

STARTING Monday - July 20, 2009 I plan to run an easy 5-miles and let that be the start of my running again with the intentions of getting back in great shape over a period of time. I will spend quality time with God each day, and with some "Prayer & Fasting" plus studying God's word daily I will (PRAY) and with (FAITH) let (GOD "HEAL MY BACK), and every situation I have in my life right now. Why 40-miles next week = Why Not????? I am going to start running, (all easy miles), and let God have complete control of my life. When I do that I know God will so graciously bless me.

NOTE: I'm not doing this so God will fix my running, but because I love him truely, want to keep his commandments, serve Jesus as my Savior, be filled to overflowing with Holy Ghost power, and live eternally in Heaven someday.
....I truely want to become this latter part of 2009 the Man of God, Husband, & Dad, God has always wanted me to be. Running is just my hobby, but if I put God & Family first above all "I will run again = ( : "Thank-God" 4/Running.... +

Inspired "Running" Thoughts: A 5k or Marathon is no different if you put "God & Family" first, and after that you've put in some quality training to get to the finish line. I know from experience that either one is possible if you only put God & Family first and really want to finish.

Why Run?

In God's Word Today: Luke 23:33.... +
....33: And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

Inspired Thoughts: They crucified him, (JESUS). Mark 15:15 says, And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
....Without the (Blood of Jesus) that Jesus so freely gave to us on (Calvary's Cross) we would not have the promise of eternal life, where we will live "Freely with Him" FOREVER.... + "Thank-God" 4/Heaven.... ( :

Why Run?
....My first thought would be = Why Not? There are so many great reasons to run. Who wants to stay on the "Couch" day in and day out watching TV and never getting any exercise = Not Me.... +
....Running can do so many things for you physically like keeping you on the road to a healthy life, strengthening your heart, and if nothing else giving you the fit-body you've always wanted = hehe. ( :
....But though these reasons are great it is still not my favorite reason for stepping out the door and running. My most favorite reason is the time I get to myself. Running takes me away from the things in life I have to deal with every day. Plus it doesn't have to be a 20-miler to make me feel good about what I've just ran.... +
....Even with a 5-mile run I have plenty of time to talk to God about certain things in my life, and many times when I'm out running God talks to me and I actually have time to listen. You know how that goes and it's a very sad thing, but many Christians never spend quality time with God. When they do, however, they are in such a rush with it God speaks sometimes, but they never hear what he is saying.... +
....Running is my time. Since my wife or son doesn't like to run that is something I can do alone, and personally I think everyone needs their alone time. Whether you run, bike, swim, or something of that sort I'm sure you will get more benefits from it than not.

It's always been God, Jesus, & the Holy Ghost. Even when I ran track @ Richlands back in the day they always gave me the strength I needed to run.
.... 1) Tracy Jacobs was my inspiration to start running "High School Track". She's my oldest Sister that ran the Mile & Mile Relay for the team, and then graduated with honors from Richlands High School in 1978. Wow! What an inspiration.... +
....2) My family = My Mom, Dad, and youngest Sister Carla inspired my wife and I to start walking on August 1, 1994 only 1-day after we had moved there from Lenoir, North Carolina where I met my beautiful wife Roxie.... ( :
....3) After it got cold and my family including my wife quit walking it was my ole buddy George Brown that inspired me to start running again. With that first run that made laps around the Richlands High School, and a new pair of Nike Wind Runners Mr. Brown gave me the following day I've enjoyed a life of running.... +

Running changed my life and through the years I've met many wonderful people such as Jimmy Miller, Mike & Prescilla Cooper, Earl & Millie Keene, Larry Meadows, Rick Ferril, Brad Robinson, Larry Whited, "Nick, Allen & Sandra Whited", Paul Bishop, Bill & Bob Gibson = "The Running Twins", Hank Brown, Terry Campbell, Jimmy Pruitt, Roger Poe, and so many more. If I named them all it would take all night, but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say. (There are so many great reasons to run - I must keep going).

Inspired "Running" Thoughts: I've had everything it seems like come against my will to run lately. The recent thing is my "Ole-Back" but I'm not giving up just yet. Maybe I need to focus more on running in general for now, and not so much on a "Running-Streak". I know it's possible, but if I can't run 3 or4 days a week I certainly can't run 7-days.... +
....(As soon as my "Ole-Back" gets better I plan to start again). This past week I've barely been able to walk, but because God is still in control he has the final say what I do or don't do.... ( :
....And I already know what God's answer is = RUN.... +

PRAYER:
....If you pray please throw up one for me, okay. I will do the same for you too. I pray for everyone in the world because even though I may not know who they are God does.
....1) God please bless the (Unsaved) that they can see the need in their life to get saved, and give their heart to Jesus.... +
....2) God please bless the (Sick) that they can be healed.... ( :
....3) God please bless the (Saved) that they can with the strength you give them each to day to live holy stay saved.... +
