....This week I plan to mix it up a bit. I plan to run some on the roads near my home and on some local trails. I don't know for sure where this will take me, but I do know with God's help I'm loving everything I do now = His Work, Family, Friends, & of course Running....

92) Monday/30 > Morning Run - Magic Mart Mile > 1-mile/easy - (9.53.70)....

....Weather was Clear @ 38*. (Shorts - Long "Dri-Fit" Tee - Asics SD Turbo). ( :

....I was tired again, and didn't want to get up and run early. We had to take care of some things and I did. But I only ran 1-mile/easy. I plan to run more tomorrow and as the week goes on. ( : "Thank-God." 4/Running! (ARJGJHG).... +

93) Tuesday/31 > Home Creeper Trail > 10-miles - (1:26.58) I layed everything I had on the table on mile 10 trying to break just under 6min's. (6.00.60)=Wow! I haven't done that in very long time. ( I'm slowly coming back), need a little more milage, but I plan to start adding some and working my way up to a goal 70m's at least every other week.

....Partly Cloudy - 39* but a little warmer at end of run.

94) Wednesday/1 > Sugar Hollow Park > No Miles - 1:00.09/easy pace. I guesstimate somewhere around 6.5m's. I didn't have any mile splits, and that makes the run that much more enjoyable for me. (I love to look at my watch way too much sometimes), hehe. ( :

....Weather was Partly Cloudy - Sunny @ 59* = Great evening for a run.

....I didn't want to "get up" this morning, and because I didn't have to work I ran about 5:00 pm. I stayed mostly on the "Trails" near the parks camping & picnic area. Not real technical, and easy on the ole Body. A couple of them has a great climb, but I ran mostly on the flat ones today. Next Week: I hope to hit the hills. ( : "Thank-God." +

Friday/3 > OOOOPS! I put myself in the hole today, & finally my running streak has been broken. (My wife had to go the the "Doctor" today, and I just couldn't get up eary to run). It got late and I then had to go to work. After work and with my drive home it was too late to even run a mile. Inspired Thoughts: Many times throughout my life I've let God down, but many times over he sends his only Son-Jesus to pick me up once again so he can get back on the right path that leads to Heaven above.

A "New" Job.... + Sometime last year I lost one of the best jobs I've ever had. My wife and I were going through some tough times, and I started missing alot of work. I was working @ Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia where we currently live. I worked in House-Keeping, and because of all the times I didn't work they had o other choice but to lt me go. Ouch! That hurts, but I can't blame anyone for my irresponsible actions.

....After that I worked a few jobs for a short time, but m heart was in House-Keeping. Also, I've been serving God long enough to know thathe's in control of all things. With the job situation as it is today I never saw anything in the local paper that interest me. In fact there was very little job listings in there, and I had been looking for a long time. But deep down I knew the truth, and that my friend is God.

....So one day when I was running on the Creeper Trail I prayed this prayer. God I know that you can give me a job in House-Keeping in one of the surrounding hospitals. I told God - (I know I don't deserve your blessings, but I know that you can help me out). Why? Because he's helped me out so many times before, and if I were to blog them all I would spend the rest of my life on our computer. It would then take you a lifetime to read it.

....About a week after that prayer I found a job listing when I was looking on the internet for a House-Keeper @ Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, Virginia about 30-minutes from our home. Yesterday - Friday - March 27, 2009 I started a brand new job. God so grasciously answered my prayer. I'm so glad God, Jesus, or the Holy Ghost doesn't give up on us when we fail him. Jesus died on Calvarys cross for our sins because he loved us so much, and he is more than glad to "Pick Us Up Again" whenever we fall down.

....I truely ( : "Thank-God." + for all of his blessings. I plan to not let God down and become a great employee. Everyone is in my prayers, and if you pray PLEASE PRAY for (ME & MY FAMILY). Like you we need all the prayers we can get. When we think we don't that's when we actually need a good preyer more than ever. Inspired "Running" Thoughts: When I did my first Marathon on June 7, 1998 I didn't know for sure what would happen. But I knew according to what others had told me I was ready to run. The race was in the mountains of Cairo, West Virginia @ North Bend State Park, just outside of Pearkersburg. With 80-runners present the gun went off at 7:00 am. 3-hours, 32-minutes, & 16-seconds later I crossed the finish line. Wow, I thought! My first 26.2-miles. As I stood there in amazement (My wife Roxie & I) both started crying. One of the greatest feelings ever as a distance runner.

....I said that to say this. I don't know where this New-Job will take me, but I do know I'm well tained in the matter of House-Keeping. I've already stepped on the starting line, the gun has sounded, and if I continue running I will soon be that employee God, (As well as my wife and son) wants Dad to be....

....My faster 400's were fairly consistent. Each had a 400 recovery time around 2.11 ---- 2.20, which is very easy. I only want to get my legs moving a little faster at times. I put 5 more miles on my "New" Asics DS Trainers - They Feel fine!

For some reason his foot started acting up - Who Knows???? Clear-63*-Great evening for a run. I felt fine from start to finish. Easy pace felt so good today, and actually it's the rest runs that make you stronger. (It gives your body enough rest to react and listen to all the faster stuff we run). With no "Recovery-Runs" we only risk injury, and were would we be then = Not Running At All. ( : "Thank-God." +

....My wife "Roxie & I" got saved on Sunday morning August 7, 1994. It was at the (Trinity Assembly of God) in my home town of Cedar Bluff, Va.
....Our son "Andrew" got saved on Sunday morning in his "Sunday-School" class with 2 other kids June 21, 2003. It was at (Friendly Chapel) in the Smyth Ridge community just outside of my home town.
....Ever since we got saved we have been Spiritually = "Running-4-Jesus." We like so many others have to face trials and tribulation as we live this present life. If it wasn't for God, Jesus, & the Holy Ghost I don't know how we would make it through another day.

....I had a great time with God by my side on the Creeper Trail just after 4:00pm. The sky was Cloudy with no wind at all, and the temperature was 53* (Beautiful Evening). I could not have asked for a better evening to run, and I have God to thank for it....
....Home Creeper Trail > 10.6-miles/easy.... 1:30.42 (8.33) Andrew didn't run today, but that's ok. I felt so good out there today. I have noticed that my overall time has picked up a bit. With todays run it still felt easy, and I was able to pick up my last on the trail to (7.21). So I know with God's help & strength to run, and the support of my family & friends, I must be doing something right. ( : "Thank-God." +

WITH todays run I will make it 72-days. Everytime I put some gear on or lace up a pair of my running shoes I always get a great feeling deep inside my heart. With every mile I run I'm always "Smiling".... There's just something about exercise in general that even in the midst of a great trial you can find a little relief. (Me-the runner), I wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world. Money can't buy happiness, and although running can't buy it with money, I can be happy with every mile I "Blog".... Late evening run was Clear @ 73* with a very light wind blowing. Great evening 4 a run.
....We started out slow and Andrew did just fine. After I dropped Andrew off I had planned to run 7-miles more. But at six I had to make an urgent bathroom break. After that I called it a day. ( : (I truely "Thank-God." 4 - "Roxie & Andrew).... + "old" Asics SD Turbo = 325m's.

Weather was 69* with no wind blowing at all. A fine evening for a run.
....After we got there "Andrew" chose to play with the other kids and not run today. But he's a kid and with 3 sisters and 1 brother myself I can't imagine what it actually feels like to not have anyone but Mom & Dad to play with at home.
....I felt great today during my run. There alot of kids playing, people walking, and I actually saw about 4 other runners before I finished. (The course circles the park, and makes for a great place to train). There are 3 small hills as you make you way around and like before 3-laps make 2-miles. ...The picture shows my "New" Asics DS Trainers. With todays run they now have 30/miles on them. This week I plan to run in these new shoes so I can get them broke in good. I want to start using them for my long runs and races. I love these light weight trainers, and I'm sure I will get alot of good running out of these new shoes, ( : "Thank-God." +

....I also have new pair of "Asics SD Turbo." They have a few more miles on them than the DS Trainers, but God has richly blessed me with 2 new pair, and the strength to run every day. I'm also looking forward to running in these other shoes, and logging many miles. But while they are in use, I have to prepare myself for new shoes whenever I need a new pair, and with all the miles sometimes it doesn't take that long.... ( : "God-Jesus-Holy Ghost"....

MY RUN > Home/Town Run > 5-miles/easy - 45.58.34.... 2-miles on Creeper Trail. It was Cloudy and Cold @ 31*. Snow flurries throughout my run today with alot of wind. I still enjoyed the moment, knowing with todays run I was going to "Blog" my biggest week yet. "new" Asics SD Turbo/35.5m's. ( : "Thank-Jesus".... +
....I felt great today. I could feel the ole legs a little, but it was not enough to hinder my run. I used my HR Moniter today, but was messing with my watch and accidently start my "Chrono" again before I blogged my run. I think my HR was in the mid 140's if I remember correctly, but I'm not completely sure. Overall I'm in better shape than last month, and once again (I give God the glory of that).... TRUELY with GOD running would just be running, and I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy it as much, ( : "Thank-God."
